Octavia St. Laurent

A well known trans-soul singer, St. Laurent made her mark on pop-culture when she appeared in the 1990 documentary “Paris is Burning”, a film about African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender individuals in New York City. Laurent passed away in 2007 after losing her battle with AIDS.
