Chaz Bono

The only child of American music legends Sonny Bono and Cher, Chaz made headlines in 1995 when he announced his identification as a man on the cover of the leading gay newspaper ‘The Advocate’. Chaz, born Chastity, went on to undergo gender reassignment surgery — his journey is chronicled in his documentary entitled “Becoming Chaz”.
